Simple Installation and Re-Keying
Kwikset's patented pre-assembled design guarantees hassle-free installation—all you need is a screwdriver. You can re-key your lock in three easy steps: Insert the functioning key and turn it 1/4 turn clockwise; insert and remove the SmartKey learn tool and remove the functioning key; insert the new key and turn it 1/2 turn counter clockwise. The lock will then be re-keyed without the hassle and cost of replacing the entire lock or removing it from your door.
