Intended as an aid for persons unable to read the Japanese language, this explanatory book of the morning prayers is solely a preliminary guide to the devotional chants of the Shinnyo teaching. Readers should keep in mind that books of this kind are best used only as springboards for further study, practice, and the deepening of one's faith. The Founder of Shinnyo-en taught us, "Chant the sutras with your feet," urging us to put into actual practice what is to be chanted, and thus, the teachings of the Buddha.
