88 Ways to Die

Black private detective Ellis Mason is a small businessman handling routine cases until ex-con Armad Drew hires him to check up on his girl friend. When the girl friend is murdered and Armad is charged with the crime, Ellis finds himself thrust deeper and deeper into a much larger case. Ellis soon crosses paths with Brad Royce, the son of a big time agency owner that handles top of the line clients, including a congressional candidate looking for dirt on a political rival. Both detectives have designs on Francine Darden, a beautiful and sultry office worker living beyond her means, and romantically involved with a married congressman.
Set in Chicago in the Presidential election year of 1988, Ellis and Royce find them-selves caught up in a web of murder,
political dirty tricks, dangerous women, and business corruption. The only way out for them is to crack the case before those involved wipe them out.
