This book brings you a series of exciting pictures of the kinds of things that have happened to Christian people in the long years since the church of Jesus Christ began. Only here and there in it will you find the names of famous men or familiar events. But what the stories tell of how the church and its people grew and changed is true, even though it is fiction. Although the main characters in the book are imaginary, real people took chances like this and suffered like this. Without them we would not have the church as we know it now.
