Description
Here's another hard to find artist. James McQuade was an American comic book artist from the 1970s, active in the seedy world of Comic-Code-defying underground comics. He's best known for his "Misty" series, which saw the titular heroine struggling to survive in various 70s-era stock settings. He also did a wide range of one-off stories, such as a delightful little tale (included in this download) about the legendary Bettie Page being murdered and raped by a hitman (in that order). Fond of buxom babes, odious monsters, shootings, stabbings, and necrophilia. Lots 'n lots of necrophilia. In a post-apocalyptic setting in a future where humanity has been subjugated by a computer dictator called International Destiny Machine, or IDM, a young, sensuous woman named Misty has become one of the few humans who refuses to surrender to the mechanical tyrant. Misty's apparent contribution to the resistance effort is to have gratuitous sex as often and with as many men as possible. She doesn't plan on it, but it happens nonetheless, almost as if that were the sole reason for her existence. The Adventures of Misty first appeared in the early 1970s in an erotic graphic album titled "Misty," and then a decade later in a second graphic novel called "Misty and the Sun Jewel."
