The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack

In the past year, The Twilight Saga became a worldwide phenomenon. It has become more than a book, film, or soundtrack; it is now a cultural identity. Last year's Twilight soundtrack debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart and held a spot in the Top 10 for 10 consecutive weeks. The continued interest has led to sales of over 3.3 million albums worldwide.

The second part in the Saga is ready to take the globe captive once more. The New Moon Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will contain all original songs, written specifically for the movie. One of indie rock's greatest success stories, Death Cab for Cutie, will lead the way with the first single," Meet Me On the Equinox." Just recently announced, online press sites and blogs are spreading the word like a wild fire. Within an hour of premiering the news on MTV.Com, RollingStone, Pitchfork, Stereo Gum, Billboard, IGN and a dozen other sites posted and featured the news. As the weeks go by, the buzz is only going to grow stronger as fans worldwide wait anxiously for one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
