Tarawa to Chosin

This book is about four years of the authors life that was spent in the Marine Corps. He waded ashore at Tarawa as many Marines were falling around him. He was the first wave landing on Saipan and at Tinian. He dodged Kamikazes at Okinawa and was with the first troops into Nagasaki following the second atomic bomb.After the war he remained in the reserves, was called back in 1950 and was sent to Korea as a Combat Correspondent. He arrived at the Chosin Reservoir at the same time as ten Chinese Divisions. They over ran and surrounded the First Marine Division causing them to fight every step of the way back to the sea...some ninety miles.
