About the Author: Dr. Robert J. Krajewski, Ed.D., is executive director of the not-for-profit Educational Research Foundation of Indiana, Inc. He has been involved in education in Indiana for 60 years and served as Superintendent of Schools in East Chicago for 17 years. He was also a member of the Indiana State Board of Education and served as Indiana's Acting State Superintendent of Schools in 1985.
