Verizon - Google Propose new Web Rules: Did Google End Net Neutrality?

Mark Csernica Comments on the Verizon, Google Internet traffic proposals announced 8/9/2010. The announcement proposed Internet rules that would:

• Discourage online providers from slowing or favoring certain traffic on the wired Internet.
• Allow creation of new networks that would provide faster delivery of content and services for a fee.
• Keep cellular-based Web services largely unregulated.
• Limit the FCC’s authority over broadband Internet lines.
