Charles Bay

A young black (half Italian) lawyer from the South Bronx who defends poor people and senior citizens reluctantly agrees to go South (because of high fee) and interview five prominent southern families (all slave owners in Civil War) to determine who will get a prestigious multi-million dollar grant. He soon senses that there's another reason he has been lured to Charles Bay, and in trying to unravel this mystery becomes the target of a deadly manhunt.
