In 1903, The Boston Book Company published a 26 volume set of books: "English Ruling Cases With American Notes". This is a series with the best English legal decisions, grouped by topics. For each a "Rule" of law is given deduced from the cases. ---- They also published a lovely, cloth bound prospectus to solicit purchases of the expensive set, $143. This is that prospectus. It contains not only a description of the set and several sample pages, but also fifteen portraits of outstanding historical English Chief Justices and Lord Chancellors.
