Patrick, who ran on the Donovan Plan to curtail defense spending and boost domestic funding, suddenly finds himself a wartime president. Further, he comes to the realization that shadowy forces are manipulating events he has no control over. Not knowing who he can trust, he turns to Merton Salisbury, First Lady Meredith Donovan's father, for help.
Salisbury, a perennial political insider, informs the President an extreme faction within the powerful and privileged are seeking a pretext to implement Project MakeOver - the above top secret plan for the military takeover of the United States. And finally, should Patrick not fully cooperate and heed their orders, they have a plan to remove him from office - permanently.
Whose plans will succeed at this time none can say, as those who ply their dark arts operate in a netherworld of the invisible political process in present day America.

With more and more real life horror stories coming out of present day governments this story is most believable. Well written and kept me wanting to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys political thrillers to download it.
