She decides that relocating to Wisconsin would be the best ticket to bring all of this about, so leaves the crowded city of Chicago and makes her home in a small town, mostly white population of 453 citizens - however as it turns out, not everything that she plans turns out the way she was expecting, due to one, Shawn Everett McPherson - her neighbor across the road. Who upon spending a bit of time in her presence, desides that she is the key to building the family life he always wanted - thus, the drama begins!
