Description
This little book contains a series of reflections on the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ from the St. Joseph Manual of 1877. There are seven reflections in all, one for each day of the week. They are suitable for any week in Lent, but particularly for the seven days ending on Good Friday.
The reflections are:
Day 1 – The sufferings of Jesus
Day 2 – The agony of Jesus in the Garden
Day 3 – Jesus is scourged at the pillar
Day 4 – Jesus is crowned with thorns
Day 5 – Jesus takes up his cross and goes to Calvary
Day 6 – Jesus is nailed to the cross
Day 7 – Jesus' agony and death
Though these devotional treasures of the past are Roman Catholic in origin, the author hopes that they will appeal not only to a new generation of Catholics, but also to Christians of other denominations, as fitting spiritual exercises during the Lenten season.
There is an Active Table of Contents with hyperlinks to every section of the book for easy navigation.
