📖 Description
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) shielded arc welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), was originally developed by a key ESAB Company for welding corrosion-resistant & other difficult-to-weld metals. Over a period of years, hower, its applicatiion has expanded to include welding & surfacing operations on practically all commerical metals. The purpose of this booklet is to explain briefly the theory of operation behind TIG Welding, & to describe the basic techniques employed in applying this process to a variety of the more commonly welded commercial metals.
