Where Strides the Behemoth

Ray Rhodes is the son of a former football star whose career ended prematurely with a horrendous injury. Ray is on track to be even better than his father when he befriends a young cancer patient. In the course of donating bone marrow and trying to help the boy survive, he develops cancer himself. However, his body turns the deadly cancer cells into a mutation that fights sickness and regenerates dying tissue, and, after nearly dying, he comes back stronger than ever, eventually marrying his high school sweetheart and fathering a child of his own. The child will be the largest baby ever born on Earth, and his genetic makeup is like nothing ever seen. He is light years ahead of the rest of mankind on the evolutionary continuum, and his body will change in unthinkable ways as he matures. He is "The Behemoth."

The first in the Behemoth series, Where Strides the Behemoth is the story of how the Behemoth, Jim Rhodes, was created. It is the story of how his father Ray comes to acquire the DNA that will ultimately create a force of nature that will change the course of history and give hope to a world that is on the brink of extinction.
