Arnold Mindell's ground-breaking work with comatose patients offers a new direction in the study of near-death experiences and psychotherapy. Dr. Mindell suggests that people in a metabolic coma are human beings in an altered state of consciousness which may be an important and meaningful experience for them. Dr. Arnold Mindell is now in private practice in Portland, Oregon, and teaches as well as consults worldwide. Graduate of M.I.T. and the Jung Institute, Zurich, he is known for his development of the Dreambody and Process Work (Process-Oriented Psychology). He is the author of 20 books in 23 languages, including Dreambody, The Shaman's Body, Quantum Mind, and Quantum Mind and Healing. In the area of conflict management, he is especiallly recognized for his Sitting in the Fire.
