This is a fully re-typeset, edited and optimized for Kindle reprint of a book by Annie Besant, who was a prominent British Theosophist, women's rights activist, writer and orator. In 1890 Besant met Helena Blavatsky and over the next few years her interest in Theosophy grew, leading to The Ancient Wisdom, written in 1897. She became a member of the Theosophy Society and a highly successful lecturer in Theosophy.
