CHARMING Prostitutes is a brilliant book about Polish girls working in exclusive brothel in Warsaw, called in Poland an “escort agency”. This is very unique, adults-only book about sex for money. Hurtful, painfully true and frightening at times.
It’s a great and extremely interesting piece of reportage! A thorough study of the specificity of this profession. Women expose not only their body, but also reveal their mind. With your mind’s eye, you can peep to the brothel; “eavesdrop” all the conversations of the girls who render service at this place; get to know all the secrets of the world’s oldest profession. This book is inundated with emotions: sadness, anger, pain, desire, happiness, love and laugh through tears. You can feel moral corruption at times, even slight disgust. It shocks with its simple and clear form. It shows in some extend the sexuality of young girls, as well as the sexuality of mature men – their clients.
You shouldn’t reach for this book if you’re looking only for sexual experiences, although this book is flooded with sex. You can find a lot of obscenities, but what else could you have expected from a book written by prostitutes?
I advise all readers with a sensitive nature against reading this book;)
This book was successful in Poland (Europe), it had great reviews. HBO acquired film rights to the book.
Now CHARMING Prostitutes has its debut in USA in Kindle Edition on amazon.com.
