The Reluctant Colonists

The year is 1685 and misfortune has caused the noble Lord and Lady Drake to temporarily "settle" in Colonial Pennsylvania -- but only until they rebuild their wealth, which by best calculations should take about five years. Then they plan to return to England to regain their former lives.

However, the plan goes astray almost immediately when the young couple agree to take Lord Drake's teen sister, Pamela, and oh yes, her baby with them.

In theory, they have a great plan. In practice, well...things never go according to plan.

What happens to the Drake family? Do they make it home again? Pennsylvania offers its own surprises, such as an unexpected romance, and of course, unexpected heartbreak.
