"Age Of Reason" is a set of 3 one-act plays, which have been performed both together and individually. They are linked by their themes, and explore different ways in which several women act in dealing with their lot in life as they grow older. "The World And Mrs T." tells of an excentric psychiatric patient's antics to stay in the comfort and safety of hospital. The authorities may be keen to return her to the community, but Mrs T. has different ideas. "The Seventy-Fifth Day" sees two elderly friends getting together to celebrate their 75th birthdays, with rather unexpected results. "Living Work Of Art" delves into the mind of an ageing opera singer, who believes she has lost confidence in her ability to perform on stage. Each play has elements of black comedy, and is intended for a mature audience.
