The White Orchid

George and Frank are twin brothers who have lived together in a cottage in a village in the south of England for many years. When George becomes ill and is taken to hospital, Frank becomes convinced through a set of unusual circumstances that his brother is going to die, and he cannot bear the thought of having to go on living without him. This is based on a true story which happened in the author's childhood village.
