The Word Painter

The Poems in this book have taken over twenty years to write, and is my Opus Dei, a Symphony of Ecstatic Emotions, which have ranged from the depths of despair to the heights of Love. It stems from the curiosity of answering many of great philosophical questions of “Who am I?”, to just understanding that I am a “Creature of God”; a part of the Divine Nature that gives His Spirit to everything in his Creation.

It may be that you too are a Prophet, Priest, or Poet King, who has sunk too low to throw off the demons that beset you; due to the cares and snares of an insensitive and brutal world bent on the gods of materialism, which makes you seek comfort in the deadening of the senses through the self-medication of alcohol or substance abuse. There is still hope. I invite the reader to explore in this journey with me, into the depths and the heights of the ecstasy of this love-maddening wine; that I have drunk by communing with the Holy Spirit; who raised me up from the darkest of dungeons.

This book is dedicated to all the Prophets of the Glory of God, whom we call Poets; those who wander the countryside and the urban streets of big cities, drunk with the ecstacy of God and the richness of life. These are the unsung hero’s, the quiet achievers, missionaries, and unassuming tenacious thinkers, that have unceasingly toiled away at the gemstone encrusted rock faces of the Mountain of God’s Imagination; and have ascended the giddy heights of Love, and have communed with God and the Nature that He has created. These words are the Sacra Pagina (Latin “Sacred Pages”) of the Holy Spirit whose Words are coursing though the veins of these Poet, Prophet, Kings, the servants of God. They see the wonder in every created thing and are like the little children that must gain the Places of Honor nearest to God in Paradise.
