Getting Ahead (6 Degrees of Deception)

To many, life is a race. A race to wealth and the finer things. The quicker you get there the less you have to worry about in the long run. We all hold ambitions and set goals accordingly, and there are different motivations and reasoning’s that drive our desires to fulfill these goals. Sometimes we can get so emotionally caught up in our own activities that we lose all regards to the goals of others…family, co-workers, those we like to call “friends” not realizing that occasionally an achievement for you can be a failure for someone else. Humans have an intuitive lust to selfishly pursue the things we covet unaware of how it’s affecting others, but is that really a bad thing? Self-preservation right? Would you really sacrifice your dreams for another person’s? You should do right for yourself before you can do right for someone else. I mean it’s nice to lend a helping hand when possible but in the end you need to be taken care of also and nobody can do that better than YOU. So the question now, is how far are you willing to go to make sure you have that edge in the competition… how far are you willing to go to get ahead?
