Trade Winds

Following the Spanish Armada, Sir Thomas Sutton sails to Zanzibar, Africa for the spice trade. Among his precious cargo is his love interest, the lovely Rebecca Foxworth, who plans to reunite with her father in Zanzibar. The voyage is anything but uneventful. Barely surviving a hurricane, one of Sutton's ships is sunk by a priate, who Sutton later learns is his brother, long believed dead. Ravished by scurvy, Sutton and his crew make Zanzibar only to find a recent insurrection has left the island devoid of spices. Rebecca's father is nowhere to be found. Coming across a map of a fabled ruby mine, deep within Africa, Suttons throws caution to the wind and decides to mine for rubies. But it is a gamble that could cost him his life.
