Sfangare l'Inverno (Italian Edition)

“Sfangare l'inverno” is exactly what the title says.
The winter in the country is longer than the arctic one, if you look at it through the glass of the usual matters, the habitual places, the faces you see every day.
Going through time waiting for the next drink, the next film, the next bus is a bit like waiting for Godot.
These pages have been stolen from other activities, they are the result of months of meetings, discussions, confrontations among different sensibilities, different cultures, heterogeneous reads.
The title is quite explicative, we had fun telling stories which have a common thread.
We didn’t care much about the presumptuousness of harmonizing every short story in a collective novel, rather than allowing each author to express with the greatest freedom, so that the reader could appreciate the effort.
We have pretended to be serious people in order to make up a volume, and we had fun putting ourselves at stake without any other foolish ambition than getting by the winter.
When we started, along with the friends of the literary circle “Le lingue di Menelik” (“Melenik’s tongues” - we are not that serious after all), nobody had a clear idea that we would actually finish it.
At the time we are writing these notes it’s spring, we made it.

“Sfangare l'inverno” è proprio quel che dice il titolo.
L'inverno di provincia è più lungo di quello artico se lo si guarda attraverso la lente delle solite cose, dei luoghi abituali, delle facce che si vedono sempre.
Consumare il tempo in attesa del prossimo aperitivo, del prossimo film, del prossimo autobus è un po' come aspettare Godot.
Queste pagine sono state sottratte ad altre cose, sono il frutto di mesi di incontri, di discussioni, di confronti tra sensibilità diverse, culture diverse, letture eterogenee.
Il titolo la dice tutta, noi ci siamo divertiti a raccontare delle storie che hanno un fil rouge in comune.
La presunzione di armonizzare ogni racconto in un romanzo collettivo non ci interessava tanto quanto lasciare ad ogni autore la massima libertà espressiva in maniera che il lettore potesse apprezzare lo sforzo.
Abbiamo fatto i seri per confezionare un volume, e ci siamo divertiti a metterci in gioco senza nessuna altra velleità che quella di sfangare l'inverno.
Quando abbiamo cominciato, assieme a tutti gli amici del circolo letterario “Le lingue di Menelik” (dopotutto non siamo poi così seri) nessuno aveva l'idea precisa che avremmo davvero finito.
Quando scriviamo queste note ormai è primavera, ce l'abbiamo fatta.
