Have Souls, Will Travel

A young man, Young Jacobs, grows up under the watch of his grandfather, the pastor of a small and dying church in small-town Georgia, 1910. After his grandfather's death, the young man seeks to find a new preacher to carry on his grandfather's esteemed church and is blessed with the sudden appearance of out-of-towner, Ichabod Beels. Things go well at first, but Young Jacobs soon learns that Ichabod Beels is not the man he had hoped for. Unfortunately, it may be far too late for this young man to right his wrong.
This original short-story explores a young man's innate desire to defend his family legacy while working to create his own. How far will he go to make this happen, and will it be too far for him to come back? When an error in judgement brings a young man toe-to-toe with the Devil, how can he find a way out?
