INTRODUCTION
DAN FOLEY was a man of much wealth, much arrogance and one whose family life had always remained in second place to that of his unending love in the pursuit of accumulating that wealth. Dan’s beautiful wife Mary and their two children, Adam and Trish, were left pretty much on their own when it came to family activities such as vacations, the children’s academic or sporting events at school, church events, or in general, any other “interference†that might distract Dan’s abilities at his love of, making money.
It was shortly after the bottom fell out of the housing market that Mary had one day accidently stumbled onto her husband’s long-kept secret; that of a private banking account holding a very considerable amount of money. Following eighteen years of a “convenient†marriage, and upon the discovery, Mary had told Dan that she was filing for a divorce.
In confrontation of the news, Dan decided to take a long and well deserved vacation where he’d have time to give much thought of what actions he might take to keep Mary from claiming half of his once, hidden wealth.
Though, things were to change drastically when Dan Foley’s trip would turn into a soul-searching nightmare as he found himself suddenly stranded in the vast, expansive areas of New Mexico. Following the drastic experiences that he was to encounter in the baron deserts, things in his life continued to spiral downward as he watched his fortunes being slowly stripped away to render the once very rich San Diego homebuilder and real estate tycoon, suddenly living amongst the poorer of the poorest.
Would Dan Foley ever again be able to enjoy the luxuries of life he’d once known; the money, cars, homes, or that beautiful family that he, though loved, had ignored during most of the those years that he had been chasing the almighty dollar? It would seem that only some miracle from God might do so.
