Brave New World

The Classic 1932 scifi/futurist novel that anticipated developments in reproductive technology and sleep-learning. And although the novel is set in the future it deals with contemporary issues of the early 20th century, and Huxley's characters all have names of famous people of that era such as his character Benito Hoover is (Benito Mussolini; Herbert Hoover); Herbert Bakunin is (Herbert George Wells; Mikhail Bakunin); Lenina Crowne is (Vladimir Lenin; John Crowne), and so on. Well-worth reading even 80 years later.
