Audio-Digest Internal Medicine is specifically designed to provide the participant with state-of-the-art information on, including, but not limited to, the diagnosis and management of:
Gastroenterology
Hematology and medical oncology
Rheumatology
Pulmonary and critical care medicine
Endocrinology
Infectious disease
Nephrology and hypertension
Cardiology
Geriatric medicine
The goal of this program is to improve men's health through screening and early detection of prostate cancer (PC), diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), and the delivery of preventive health care. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Counsel patients about the benefits and potential harms associated with screening for PC.
2: Identify patients who should be referred for a transrectal ultrasonography-guided biopsy of the prostate.
3: Evaluate and make an accurate diagnosis for men who present with complaints of sexual dysfunction.
4: Prescribe lifestyle modification and pharmacotherapy for management of ED.
5: Promote recognition of and change in maladaptive behaviors to help men achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
