The power of the subconscious mind is a fact! Long before things appear in the material world as an action, event or material thing in the outer world, they are first created in the mental world. Conditions and circumstances are effects. The cause of these effects lies deep within you – it is your mind. Your life as it is today is solely as a result of what you did or neglected to do in the years gone by. What you did or neglected to do is as a result of your habitual way of thinking. Your habitual way of thought creates in you a predominant state of mind. It is this state of mind that we refer to when we talk of the subconscious mind. Subconscious does not imply unconscious. Your conscious thoughts aren't all there is. Below the surface, a complex and deep-seated collection of beliefs is exerting an extremely powerful magnetic force in your life.
When these subconscious thoughts are in harmony with what you consciously intend you attract it. But if there are counter-intentions present within you — that is, thoughts and beliefs that run contrary to your conscious wishes — you will not achieve the results you want, no matter how much you want them on the surface. Even if you do achieve them temporarily, you will ultimately lose them. The strength of your counter-intentions will ultimately win out.
The subconscious mind is the seat of habit. It is where opinions and believes are formed. It is what controls your life and is responsible for all the circumstances in your life whether you know it or not. It is this subconscious that we need to control if we have to enjoy our lives to the maximum.
