About the Authors:
Keith Seafield, a native of Chicago, moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1972.
He began his career as an E.M.T. in 1982 and worked for a local ambulance service while attending paramedic training. In 1984, after becoming a state certified paramedic, he was hired as a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Sunrise Fire Department. He joined the Miami-Dade Fire Department in 1988 where he remains as a Lieutenant.
Keith is a grandson of Michael Kinsch, a retired Captain of the Chicago Fire Insurance Patrol. At age twenty-three he received his grandfather's Fire Patrol possessions and has had a passion to research his life and his service on the Patrol ever since. This book is the accumulation of his many years of research.
Mike Pack, a native of Chicago, grew up as a fan of both the Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Fire Insurance Patrol.
As a youngster he moved to Houston. His volunteer fire service career has spanned over fifty years and he has served with six different fire departments during that time. Mike spent a number of years in the Army reserves and attained the rank of Captain. For the last seven years, he has been employed as the Fire Chief of the Southside Place, Texas Fire Department.
