Aqua Oasis Walkabout: Book 2

Feelings a reader has when viewing this book cover probably come from the Right Brain hemisphere while the Left Brain is discounting those feelings as illogical. But... sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. [Speaking of illogical this would be a great book to read when you need a refreshing escape from practicality.]

One of the purposes of Shelnutt's walkabout photojournalism books is to increase awareness of Right Vs Left brain ways of working with art, spirit, science, and what can appear to be magic. The author's theory is that a whole brain working with body and soul is necessary for optimum capacity in creating a good life; and that certain current cultural dictates limit Right Brain capacity in ways which diminish belief in a creative God force, causing the body/brain/soul connection to be less than optimum. As part of a photojournalism walkabout, this work was designed to be used for relaxation and regeneration. As a bonus, it gives working examples of specific uses of Right Brain creative techniques.

Though part of a collection, AQUA OASIS WALKABOUT: Book 2 can stand on its own as an initial read, especially for rebels who enjoy making their own sequence on any path, with that rebellion coming through Right Brain affinity. Yet, rebellious traits could also cause a person who relishes going against ordered flow... to change his pattern and read this trilogy in order, LOL! It's true that this book will have more depth when read in sequence with the other walkabout books, if it follows Book 1 of AQUA OASIS WALKABOUT with JOHN GALT WALKABOUT being the opening book demonstrating focus of Right Brain assets. Within this series, edification is accomplished through the pleasant experience of viewing a large collection [107-170 in each book] of artistic photographs featuring prime decorative expressions in two home parade events.

A note about WINDOWS WALKABOUT, a collection of interviews with Bed and Breakfast Inn owners: WW [a regular nonfiction book with only a few photos] inspired these subsequent offerings of photojournalism in an ongoing journey which was sparked from the themes and steady sales of WW. Maybe WW could be called the preface to the photojournalism quartet.
