Description

Rents are rising, the supply is tightening—and it’s a landlord’s market these days. But savvy preparation and smart searching can still land you a sweet pad sans the headaches that commonly come from renting. Writer Holly Goodman talks to the experts to guide you through the rental process, providing key things to know and include in your contract, advice on how to handle roommates or landlord disputes and ways to present yourself in a good light when your credit seems to say otherwise. “Real Estate Secrets Every Renter Should Know” discusses living options beyond typical apartments, what your rights and responsibilities are as a renter, how you can negotiate your monthly payment (and even knock off a bit, too) and tips to ensure you get your security deposit back.

Excerpt from the Book:

You’ll not only be securing a place in which you can live happily, you’ll also be heading off future headaches.”
