There is a deep and secret history to this world, known only to a few. In the great cycles of time and the mostly forgotten ages of the past, great civilizations, some far in advance of today have been born, have flourished and then vanished in the periodic cycles of catastrophic change that wash across the earth.
Millenniums ago when knowledge, belief and faith held hands with magic and mystery, when man was much closer to the elements of nature and the unseen forces which move them, a terrible catastrophe befell the earth.
Something caused the partial melting of the ice-caps, which in turn raised sea levels by hundreds of feet.
Great cities, whole cultures, their discoveries and more importantly their understanding of things now forgotten, disappeared when the enormous cyclic flood claimed them and their once mighty empires were forgotten, or have become the stuff of legend and folk-lore.
Almost all traces of this ancient past have been lost. But some things are so great their stories, myths and legends linger on and they wait until the future is ready for their return. Traces of our hidden past are beginning to reappear all along the coasts of every continent and now the waters are rising again. The time is almost upon us once more.
This is the legend of the ‘The Instrument’ and the destruction of an ancient kingdom. It is also the story of the birth of a new nation rising from the destruction of the old and the birth of a new world, brought about by a once forbidden union of a young Prince and a common water girl and how with the help of a mysterious priest, the world was saved from a very dark future.
Perhaps this time we will learn the lessons of the past.
