The Happy Solution: A Short History of the Dewey Floating Dry Dock

Softcover booklet by Calvert Marine Museum Press, c. 1988. Describes and illustrated a unique floating dry dock, the Dewey, built in Solomons MD in 1905. Largest in the world at the time, this floating dry dock named for Admiral Dewey was built for the US Navy and it tested the concept with two warships, the USS Colorado and the USS Iowa.
