Princess of Arlaine (The Talisman of Darien Kaur)

The Queen is dead. Gailinda of the realm of Arlaine has succumbed to a long, waisting illness and her realm is slowly being absorbed into the empire of the Northern god, Kaull. The heir apparent, Princess Johanna, suffers from the same illness that claimed her mother. Acting in the queen's name, Johannas brother, the Kaull bishop Bardock is slowly bringing in Kaull armies from the conquered lands to the North and dressing them in the uniform of Arlaine.

Across the border, Cressalyn of the Empire of B'akkai is nervous. First Carlonis to the North and now Arlaine, across her Eastern border is falling to the Kaull. She is at a loss untill an old acquaintance arrives in her realm, a warrior wearing the Talisman of the sorcerer king, Darien Kaur. She sends him in a desperate, clandestine mission to save her neighbor sovereign, Princess Johanna of Arlaine and thus turn the tide of the Kaull.
