The future looks exceedingly appealing. Humans are not solely restricted to the confines of Earth and the power needed to keep our existence flourishing is amply available. A citizen's needs and even most desires are provided for by the Government. Everyone has their purpose in life well defined by the analysis of genetics and behavior starting immediately after birth and throughout the mandatory schooling period. Sky Smith's role in society is that of a producer. He was taught and even modified to be as interesting and appealing to the average citizen as possible. Everything he does has a spin on it to produce more content and increase his viewership. He can't sit around and consume content like the average citizen because rules for producers require success. Abruptly, Sky receives a new contract to document and report on Government run facilities that produce the majority of the electrical power generated in the solar system. He takes up the opportunity because he knows that it is extremely rare, and profitable, in the current climate of strife between the Government, citizens, and other factions. It comes with risk both seen and unseen, but with much more potential reward at stake. It could even allow him some freedom from what society and the Government told him was his purpose in life.
