American Muscle

To his friends and neighbors, James Worthington is just a small-town single father, raising his sixteen-year-old son and doing a damn fine job of it. He runs an auto parts store in a rural Pennsylvania town, sells hot dogs at high school football games, and usually calls it a night by 9:00. Until James becomes the victim of what appears to be a routine robbery and a secret he thought he left in the rearview mirror years before begins to emerge. Soon, members of the Pugliese crime family come calling, and James is forced to dust off his '68 Oldsmobile 442 and take to the road with his boy. Across two-lane blacktop through the heart of the country, they take her to the floor in a desperate attempt to outrun a past that threatens to kill them both at every turn.
