Hawk's Revenge

For hundreds of years, pirates savaged shipping from Africa’s Mediterranean Coast. By 1874, the powerful Feather Shipping Company of Nassau in the Bahama Islands had had enough.

The company’s patriarch, Jonas Hawk dispatched his grandson and soon to be heir, Captain Elan Hawk, to end the murderous sinking of ships, enslaving of survivors, and kidnapping and torture of innocents once and for all.

Captain Hawk was authorized to build ships and hire men. No effort and no expense were to be spared.

Hawk sought fighting men—mature warriors who had seen frontline battle in the American Civil War. Men who were willing to again go against a deadly enemy—this time, an evil steeped in generational religious fanaticism.

Such veterans are not found everywhere, so Hawk turned to the land of his heritage. From the hills of Perry County, Pennsylvania, Elan Hawk would choose his Hawk’s One Hundred.

Their mission was to destroy Barbary pirates until none remained. There would be no quarter given and no mercy shown. Their task was to kill them all.
