April Saints from the Roman Breviary

April is full of wonderful saints, beginning with Saint Francis of Paula. We remember Saint Vincent Ferrer, the Angel of the Apocalypse. Saint Leo the Great comes in next. The cruelty of a father can be seen, when a king martyrs his son, Saint Hermenegild for refusing to receive Holy Communion from the hands of an heretical bishop. Saint Justin Martyr comes to us in the middle of the month. We are presented with another doctor of the Church, Saint Anselm. Saint Mark the Evangelist visits us in this month. April closes with Saint Catherine of Sienna.
