The unknowable calls like the pounding surf. Tireless. Undying.
Return the Sea is a collection of fairy tales written with cosmic horror in mind. It sits at around 5800 words long and includes three micro short stories: The Handless Girl, The Star Book, and The Mad Library. It includes a full-color cover image for each story.

The Mad Library: (Micro short story -- approximately 2000 words.) — A Lovecraftian retelling of Cinderella.
Ash lives with her step-mother and step-sisters, locked in a large house. The vast desert that surrounds them sings to her, just as it sang to her father and mother before stealing them away. As an unsettling call drags her towards madness, the prince's ball approaches. At his palace waits the Mad Library--a blasphemous collection of tomes not fit for human eyes.
When the great unknowable touches the lives of Ash and her remaining family, Ash is the one with the choice: to renounce it or embrace it.
*
The Star Book: (Micro short story -- approximately 2000 words.) — A Lovecraftian retelling of The Star Money.
Sarah, an orphan with nothing to her name but the clothes on her back, ventures into an uncanny forest to rest. But a being beyond understanding draws her ever nearer, and she must lose everything in order to gain true knowledge.
*
The Handless Girl: (Micro short story -- approximately 1500 words.) — A Lovecraftian retelling of The Girl Without Hands.
A cultist has a vision, and Hannah, his daughter, must pay the price. What sent him this vision? What blight has taken their land and driven them to starvation? The connection between the three tales is finally revealed.
