The Valiant Belle of the West

When Zandra’s father unexpectedly died just days before they were scheduled to travel west with a wagon train, she is forced to disguise herself as a man to trick the trail master into allowing her to go on the journey unescorted. He inevitably discovers her secret and threatens to send her back. Somehow she convinces him to allow her to travel with him only to find that she has fallen in love with the rough cowboy they call Ryker. Her happiness soon turned to terror when she is kidnapped by Native Warriors. But when the Calvary arrives, she finds herself in danger from them and refuses their help to stay behind and help a wounded Cheyenne man named Cheten. They quickly find friendship when he offers to help her get home. Ryker searches until he finds her but soon realizes that her friendship with Cheten could interfere with his relationship with her. This triangle of love leads her to California where one of Ryker’s enemies tries to kill him and captures her to seek revenge. Ryker is injured and has to face the fact that Cheten is the only one who can save her life.
