There's A Growl In My Stomach

After their parents die in an automobile accident, seventeen year old Sarah tried to take care of yerself and her little brother, Teddy. They used the insurance money to pay any outstanding bills, but now they had no more money for rent and very little left for food. The story opens with the two of them sitting on a curb with a sign perched in front on them which read: Will work for a place to stay, food, and small wage.

A gentleman approaches them about helping out on his small farm. He needed someone to help with the farm work, as well as, taking care of the house. His wife passed away about a year ago, leaving him as only parent to his daughter, Amanda.

Sarah and Teddy agree to work for him so they can make enough money to return to their grandparents home. Things don't work out exactly as they planned.
