Lord of the Black Mountain

The Vale of Ewias in 1374: a remote valley on the border between England and Wales. A stranger walks into a lord's hall during the feast of Michaelmas. No-one knows who he is or where he comes from. Soon after his arrival, strange things begin to happen.

Tradition has it that Michaelmas is the time of year when the Devil fell to earth, cast out of Heaven by the archangel Michael. So who is the stranger? A poet and minstrel, as he claims to be, an outlaw ... or something worse? The monk Beddoe Milo decides to find out.
