First published in 1815, this volume brings together a selection of letters written by John Toland, on the druids and Celtic religion in general. A highly influential philosopher and author of the eighteenth century, Toland's work left a lasting legacy on the subject of the Celts and druids.

This volume includes a detailed biography of the often controversial author as well as examples of Celtic words with their Latin analogues, and excerpts of the Armorican language with translations.
