Q - So, what makes The Marked Ones Trilogy special?

A - Well for one, the series is a young adult interracial romance featuring a strong female protagonist, and a hapa (half Japanese, half Irish) geeky male protagonist. It’s a fish-out-of-water story told from the reverse perspective of what we’re used to seeing in most paranormal romance series. In that it has a high school boy as the seemingly normal character, and a female protagonist as the paranormal love interest (in this case a daemon!). But mostly, The Marked Ones is different because it takes the genres of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, science fiction, and high school romance and puts them all into a mixing bowl before baking them into a romantic mystery set in San Francisco.
