The necklace (The Plague of Ghosts Book 1)

Todd and Lisa are two survivors of a lethal plague that swept the world. Now much of the United States is a land of empty houses and skyscrapers. The world is growing wild around them. The few people left are lawless and the young couple is forced to hide much of the time to survive. Though they are young they are falling in love with each other. With this new love blossoming among them they feel no need to seek out potentially dangerous people to increase their numbers for protection.

The two teens live by looting the empty houses of an silent abandoned town. They have no idea that they are not as alone as they think they are. And they have no possible clue that the presence that is soon to be watching them is no longer living.
