Ron Brind was born a few hundred yards away from The Kilns, the house C. S. Lewis lived in for more than 30 years. As a young child, Ron became fast friends with Douglas (Dougie) Gresham, C. S. Lewis’s stepson. He was soon a regular visitor to the Lewis household, and was taught by Dougie to call C. S. Lewis “Jack.”

Ron’s lifelong interest in C. S.
