The Great Santini

Oscar and Golden Globe-winner Robert Duvall ("Falling Down," "A Civil Action") and Michael O'Keefe ("Ghosts of Mississippi," "Ironweed") received Academy Award nominations as father and son in this magnificent drama based on the novel by Pat Conroy ("The Prince of Tides," "The Lords of Discipline"). Duvall is "Bull" Meechum, a gung-ho Marine pilot also known as the Great Santini. "A warrior without a war," he battles on the domestic front with his loving but bullied family, particularly his adolescent son.
